Inculcate

INCULCATE

-verb (used with object)
1. to implant by repeated statement or admonition; teach persistently and earnestly (usually followed by “upon” or” in”)
2. to cause or influence (someone) to accept an idea or feeling (usually followed by “with”)

No matter how much a mother
Inculcates her young in distrust
For humans and strangers
Sometimes
Need for cuddles is too strong
And all dignity lost.
