I remember your scent
Permeating the space.
We would sniff at the walls,
Sofas, curtains
Whenever you were away
Perfume holding its magic

You left traces of you
So we would not miss you
Too much
We thought the enchantment
Cast to reel you back home.

You held your secret
Tightly bottled and sealed
A little star
So potent, so huge, then
A fragile empty shell.
