We glide
Opposites yet bound
A few steps this way
Or the other
On tip toe
Ready to fly off
To depart from that dance
That is courting

Should I or shouldn't I? It is rather like a dance isn't it?

You leave me with an image of dancers on the floor. Or maybe the dance is just life?

I will always remember the last dance I had. Just dance with the dance teacher and you will remember yours too. She was sooooooo light and could read my mind. She would go anyway ("ready to fly off" with no hesitation) I even thought of turning.
Thank you, Nathalie, for this fun prompt.

I read this first at OSI. I doubly love it with your graphic. Your poem honestly captures that hesitation of courting. it's tremendous!

A dance is not a dance without pause.
Courtship beautifully rendered!
