VAPID

—adj.,
1. lacking or having lost life, sharpness, or flavor; insipid; flat.
2. without liveliness or spirit; dull or tedious

After a life of vapid tendencies,
Mid-life crisis came as a shock
Autumn never more flamboyant
In its poignancy.
