Divest

DIVEST

-verb (trans.; usually followed by “of”)
1. to strip (of clothes)
2. to deprive or dispossess
3. (property law) to take away an estate or interest in property vested in (a person)

Passions are what captivates and compels us
To ere where nothing grows and where
A long walk might send us all to hell.
It's inaction we're reading on a bleak shore
Divested of what it means to be seen
Trapped waist deep in spent ashes

Loving each other through the act of loathing.
