PROCACITY

Forwardness; pertness; petulance.























There was a breach
An insult
Deep damage possibly
That caused this
Child’s procacity
To falter and wither
To corrupt into
Awkward adolescence
Withdrawal
Before acceptance could come
And nonchalant years
Return some type of shadow
A ghost
Of the old assurance.
