I can't directly relate to this but have friends that can...alas! And intersting set-up on the poem here...

Makes me wonder why its missing a monogram? Perhaps the owner was a woman who never married or perhaps the owner thought it was too beautiful to have someone's name etched in. I like your take on the photograph.
