DWINDLE

Where reality dwindled into water
Dreams broke the surface
Foetid bubbles soon suppressed
A stench of history gone sour.

I expect this to be only temporary. They are doing works on this monument (the mausoleum of Augustus) but the heavy rains are making a moat that wasn't there before. It should not end up as a new Atlantis...
